If you’re looking to do some volunteer work in Stockholm – for example in organisations such as Amnesty International, Oxfam International, Greenpeace, the Red Cross or the World Wildlife Fund – you can try writing letters/emails or calling the group(s) you’re interested in and ask them if they’re taking on volunteers. It’s a good idea to send your CV with your introduction letter/email and explain what type of volunteer work you’re looking for. There may be a formal application form or procedure to follow. IAL is the Swedish branch of Service Civil International and organises peace and conservation camps. They co-ordinate both short and long term voluntary projects and anyone can participate, regardless of age, nationality or gender.
